Duty Calls

Love's worn hand
leads me through the fray,
shuffling aside the duty calls
to the crowd's dismay.

"Shine your shoes!"
"Fix your blues!"
"Donate your soul today!"
Love knows that true freedom never obligates.

Freedom is as freedom does
but the jury can't decide
if love is telling the truth
or if love is telling lies.

Free your soul.
Ease your mind.
Cast away your chains.
Love's pure freedom and duty call awaits.
