When freedom and duty are one

I have been struggling most of my life with a sense of obligation to others and a self-imposed pressure to please others. It creates stress in the body which I am certain contributes to at least two ailments. I would like to attain complete spiritual freedom, heal this body, and leave behind the stress that… Continue reading When freedom and duty are one

Setting Goals for Goodness in 2020

New Year's day is upon us once again! This time of year is often seen as a good time to set new goals or intentions and have a fresh start (to clarify, I consider an intention to be a general direction and a goal to be a specific task-oriented step in that direction). SS Heroes: A Human Odyssey (Part 3)

I slowly backed away and headed hurriedly down the hallway towards the staircase. My new companion chided ¨Ahar Matey! I struggled with low self confidence in my youth. I was learning about environmental issues and trying to reconcile this new knowledge with… Continue reading Why I Meditate

The Creative Dragonfly: Water and Its People

The warm fall sun dazzles my wings as I hover and swoop over the Valley. The wind rustles the tall willow trees and beaming children play among bright orange pumpkins. I follow a whoosh of air over the main road and find a small frog pond with lily pads. I bask in the sun on… Continue reading The Creative Dragonfly: Water and Its People

The Creative Dragonfly: Science and Self

A dark shadow casts coolness over my stone and before I know what is happening I have been caught. I hear a voice now, not from inside of me, but the loud voice of an air world creature. A towering human with long brown hair, covered head to toe with cloth, and a hat reading Kejimkujik Researcher, has now encased me in a white netting.
